We Bleed Gypsum Red
“I like that Gypsum takes pride in their company.
They take care of their equipment, employees and customers.”
Michael has been on the Gypsum team since August of 2006 and runs out of the Savannah terminal. He loves to travel and be on the road, so he appreciates the consistent loads and his 2017 Cascadia. In his free time he enjoys restoring old cars, but he loves his home time during the winter months the most, because that is when hunting is the best. We cannot begin to express our appreciation we have for Michael and his nine years of dedication to our family!
“What I love most about Gypsum are the people here. Everyone is
friendly and everyone is honest- I have never been lied to.”
John has been with the Gypsum team since March of 2014, and is a driver out of our Danville terminal. One of his favorite things about working here is his 2016 Cascadia because, “it runs great and drives easy”. During his free time he enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and family. John is such an upbeat and kind individual, we all are thankful to have him here at Gypsum Express.
“There are a lot of companies out there that don’t know who you are when you walk into the office. That’s not how it is here; it’s a family atmosphere, and you know that you matter here.”
Robert has been a Gypsum driver our of our Shadyside terminal since March of 2009, and is now a driver trainer. He enjoys being a flatbed driver because of its consistency and the people you get to meet throughout your journey. He spends his weekends doing spontaneous activities with his wife and daughter, like heading to the zoo or the water park. We are so thankful to have Robert on our team, and to have had the opportunity to watch his family grow.
“The pay is better and the people really care about you.
You’re more than just a number here- you’re a member of a family.”
Bryan has been at Gypsum since April of 2014, and is one of our driver trainers at our Vanlue terminal. As a member of our training team, he promises that our program is one of the most comprehensive in the industry. The team behind you here at Gypsum Express will push for your success and safety. When Brian isn’t driving his truck, you can find him with his family at church, a drive-in, or walking around the local flea market. We are so proud of all Brian’s successes.
“After working for two other large trucking companies, who will remain nameless, Gypsum Express was a breath of fresh air. From day one I was referred to by name and not a number, and to have the higher management say ‘good morning, Andy’ as they pass you in the corridor shows me a company that cares about their employees.
New equipment, a maintenance team that looks after it, a safety program that is not overpowering and people behind you to help get the job done, I could not ask for a better place to work. You are treated like a professional, given the chance to make your own decisions, always knowing you can call in for advice.
Gypsum Express knows you have family and a life away from the job, and work hard to get you to those appointments you have to make. I have made a lot of new friends, people I share time with away from the job, whether it be a company picnic or just some of the drivers and their families getting together. I can’t see myself working for any other company, it’s just too good here.”
-Andrew D Leitch, Baldwinsville Terminal
Andrew has been an incredible asset to the Gypsum Express Team since February of 2011. His hard work and dedication have continued to impress us all- we know how lucky we are to have him in the family!
“I have worked for Gypsum Express for a little over eight years. I’ve worked in the van division for most of it. Our equipment is some of the best in the country and with a maintenance department that works with the driver to insure you’re back on the road as soon as possible. Our benefits packages are some of the best in the industry. Our driver managers work with us to insure maximum mileage and home time. Our owner gives us everything we need to succeed in the trucking industry. This company is my home and I plan on retiring here.”
– Jeffrey Barnes, Baldwinsville Terminal
Jeff has been a constant in the Gypsum Express company. His work ethic amazes us all, and his character makes him all the more of a pleasure to work with. We are so thankful for Jeff, and his dedicated service.
“I’ve been an employee for Gypsum Express for 15+ years, and I am presently a tandem driver for them. In my experience, Gypsum Express is the best company I have ever worked for, and for many reasons; the first being my time at home. I am home every weekend and holidays, as well as home time during the week. If I ever need time off for appointments or other obligations I am always able to work it out with my dispatcher. Gypsum also offers its’ drivers a yearly safety bonus program, and a monthly fuel & compliance bonus. These bonuses have allowed me to make an extra $30,000+ in addition to my regular pay in the time that I have been employed here. Gypsum has always provided me with top of the line equipment, with all the latest technology on board. Maintenance and service has always been a top priority for them, which results in fewer breakdowns. I’m highly satisfied with my job at Gypsum Express and I would recommend anyone looking for a trucking job to give Gypsum Express a chance. You will not be disappointed.”
-Glen Cooper, Baldwinsville Terminal
Having Glen as an employee since 2000 has been nothing short of wonderful. Employees like him are hard to come by, we are truly lucky to have him on our team!
“Through these 18 years, I have been offered many opportunities to grow as a driver and expand my capabilities. They give me all of the tools and training (and a great bonus program) to be the best at what I do.”
-Kirk Harrington, Baldwinsville Terminal
Kirk has been with Gypsum Express since January 2000. He is a driver trainer for our local department in Baldwinsville. Kirk has a great work ethic, and has been a great asset to this company for 18 years.
