Orientation for our flatbed division is a 10-day program, located at our Michigan City, Indiana terminal.
In class, we will go over policies and procedures, including a presentation that will help you gain insight about the heritage and progress of Gypsum Express. Power point presentations will help you learn how some of the operation works.
Our orientation is a program we utilize to get you familiarized with your new employer and also furnish you with the tools you need to start on a long and rewarding career with Gypsum Express.
During your 10-day stay, we will provide on-site housing, breakfast, and lunch. Drivers should plan to bring anything else they may need during these several days.
Drivers should bring a voided check or bank statement to orientation as all Gypsum Express employees are Direct Deposit. (Checks are mailed the first 2 to 3 weeks until the deposit is established with the driver’s bank.)
In orientation drivers will view videos on company policies and procedures, and listen to speakers talk about their departments. Our flatbed drivers will also participate in hands-on training. Flatbed drivers with a New York State license are required by law to have a coil endorsement issued by the State of New York. Should a driver not have this endorsement the company will assist drivers with training and pay for the endorsement.
